Highschool of the Dead gets the green light

Whats better then a manga about zombies and a group of high school students trying to survive a world full of them, that’s right, an anime of it.
The March issue of Fujimi Shobo’s Monthly Dragon Age states that the anime adaptation of Highschool of the Dead by Shoji Sato and Daiske Sato now has the green light. And in other good news the manga will also be resuming at the same time after a sadly long break of over a year and will be stealing the cover with it shipping on the 9th of February.

This of course is great news, I came across this diamond of an manga a few months back and fell in love and of course shortly after got depressed after running out of volumes and chapters and learning that it was on hiatus. But as with come February comes great news so now I can look forward to reading and watching on of my favorite manga. To summarize the story it starts out at a high school in Japan overrun with Zombies or as in the manga called “them” because we all knows zombies cant be real. After a flash back to find out how the outbreak in the school happened it goes back to the main characters and how they escape the school and go to try and rescue their family’s and survival themselves not knowing what is awaiting for them in a world that has fallen to chaos and every second is a fight for survival.
Aside from the fact of their being zombies the other aspects of the manga are surprisingly realistic which makes it good for the read and more like watching a horror movie, and in a way even zombies are realistic because we all know in the back of our heads it will happen. If you haven’t read the manga then you should tilt your head and give this one a look. Most people should like it and if you aren’t into zombies then there goes your practice for them the plague starts, so go back to your wimpy manga and wait for the end.
